Processing seeks Artists…

April 13, 2010

Came across this posting the other day on OpenProcessing. Basically a guy by the name of Martyn McDermott wants to do a form of chinese whispers but with a Processing project. So he starts the project and then passes it on to someone else who codes it in line with their own thinking, and then it gets passed onto the next person (there will be ten in all) the project evolves until the final product. This is for his Masters in Digital Media Arts (not sure where he is taking this).

I think it is an excellent idea, and am definately interested to see not only the outcome but how it progresses. I don’t consider myself an artist and so won’t be signing up for it, I would like to consider myself a data visualiser (if there is such a thing). Like I mentioned  I am really interested in the idea and the outcome.

Can’t wait to see how it turns out, I have a feeling this idea could grow. I wonder if the same will happen in the world of JavaFX
